Let’s start with, “Save the Dates”! Letting your guests know a tidbit of info that can be “hand-held”, is definitely more helpful these days when everything can get bogged down in an inbox. Creative Save the Dates, are a fun way to make sure to set the theme of your big day! Our friends at Wedding Wire have a super cute gallery of "Save the Date" Ideas! A few of our favorites are below. We may be bias to the garden look.
“Save the Dates” are best sent about eight months prior to your wedding date. If you have a large majority of out of town guests, then it’s not uncommon to send them ten to twelve months prior. Many couples include the wedding website along with the date, city and state, and location of the wedding. The website can then keep your guests updated with information such as lodging, registry and fun things to do in your chosen wedding area.
Invitations are the next thing we are falling in love with lately. Invites have come so far over the years, from interactive, to hand stamped and foiled - and they are sure to delight your guests and set the tone for your day. A recent Pinterest search turned up some really cute Invitation ideas, and best of all, "what’s trending for 2017".
We love to support small local businesses, (we are one)! One of our favorite local stationary companies is located just over the gorgeous Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg. A&P Design Co has been at the forefront of invitations all over the country. To really see how they create some of the most gorgeous invites, check out their Instagram! We’ve included a couple of our favorite custom invites!

Once all the standard pretty paper is sent in the mail, at least 8 weeks until you say "I DO", you can use them by adding them into your table décor as thank you cards, menus and or favor tags! Keeping with your theme of your invites, will add a touch of glamour to your table décor and really bring it all together. For example, a great place to add some extra, is to take a portion of your invitation motif and place it on the corner of your escort cards. Are you a foodie couple? Then a menu card is your ticket. Placing it on your table settings with a little gold or silver foil adds sparkle without going overboard.
Lastly, for all our lovely DIY Brides, wax stamps, die-cut labels for favors and ribbon, can take an ordinary paper and make it look like it cost way more than it did! One thing we love is when one of our brides made tags and placed them in the top of orange as place cards! They tied in our orange farm venue motif into their vintage inspired wedding.
We hope that all these ideas inspire you while you plan your theme into your invitations, "Save the Dates" and more! Stay tuned for more tips and ideas on our next blog posts!
